Peace and Green..Group IS Going to Build Green and Peace Village

Peace and Green Initiative for Africa is moving on.

I wrote tow articles “When beautiful hearts meet, Miracles Happen”

The members of Peace and Green are meeting every Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm. I meet my brother Tamiru three or four times a week. We visit one of our member’s office, or project.

We’re planning to start a media to reach as many people as we can. We’ll start soon a TV program. We want to promote Peace and Green idea everywhere.

Our community or neighborhood is covered with plastic bags and plastic bottles. The cities are getting more dirtier, because of the vast immigration. Everyone is moving to the capital city or a nearby city to get a better life. Cities are overcrowded. In some region, all the schools have teachers but no students in the classrooms. The young people are immigrating in search of change.

Peace and Green has a better idea to tackle this immigration.

Part of the group will be visiting my parent’s village next week. We want to build PEACE AND GREEN VILLAGE there in my Mom’s cousin’s place. The place is hilly, it will be a good spot. Our team will give every training to the youth and women to empower them economically. They will be trained to make leather products, dress making, weaving, beading, ..etc.

Those village people have cows, horses, sheep, and chickens. They produce homemade cheese, butter, yoghurt in traditional ways which is loved and missed by everyone in the town. They also have homemade breads ans loafs using some kind of leaves, which has got different flavor. We will open a big market for them when the village starts working.

In our village we’ll be having one hut each. And we’ll be doing our own initiative’s ideas. For example, one of the lady wants a half way home for juvenile prisoners when they get released. Her hut will be used by the youth to rehabilitate.

After we build the village, the women and the youth will produce their products. We will bring the products to the city or open a shop there for them, and we’ll make those people to earn good money. If we go to their village and make the villagers wealthy, the immigration will be stopped from the region.

We are invited some more guests for next Saturday at Ghion Hotel. God willing we’ll share our ideas for our visitors and hopefully they’ll join our idea and Peace and Green will expand. Three of the women are from World Pulse. I invited them to WP, sit with these nice two ladies, Sonia and Amelework, helped them to open account at WP.

World Pulse in Ethiopia is now walking hand in hand with Peace and Green.
