Technology is a renovation method that allows all human beings to advance their world on all fronts (industrial, economic, cultural, social, medical etc.).
Technology concerns anything that man builds, particularly the many technical objects that surround us and which we use every day.
Technology has its many advantages and it can positively affect our society. However, this phenomenon also brings with it negative effects.
For the past 50 years or so, this field has been constantly advancing. We are not referring only to technology as it pertains to electronics, such as the advancement in Smartphones, PC’s or even televisions. In fact, there are a number of other areas. For example, thanks to technological advancements, medicine is evolving too.
There are many other positive aspects: overseas communication has become easier, online courses prevent falling behind in studies…It is as much a way to have fun, as it is a way to do things more quickly.
Nonetheless, this domain can also be risky because some people do not always use these advancements in a positive way.
For certain people “hooked” to the internet, this virtual world becomes their reality. They can spend countless hours without seeing the risks attached and end up becoming true slaves to these machines.
Most people bypass the knowledge available in books and seek information on the Internet, where sources are not always trustworthy.
Young people read less and less, go for the easier option and lose interest in looking for information from sources other than online newspapers or Wikipedia.

Nowadays, cheating in school is on the rise because of how easy it is to do so: young people can access the internet on their telephones and can communicate with their classmates through SMS.
What’s more, new technologies create inequalities because of their price. They are expensive and thus not available to everyone.
Technological advancements also create inequalities between countries, as some will possess the power to destroy other states thanks to new weapons, for example.
In conclusion, today’s technology can be an advantage, as long as one knows how to use it, takes care not to abuse it and can differentiate the real world from the virtual world.
