Introducing myself and my journal: Lady Pomegranate

About Me:
I am a Palestinian woman who grew up in Israel, in a mixed city (Arab and Jewish citizens citizens) called Lod. I have studied social work at Tell Aviv University, and Graduated more than seven years ago. I have worked as a social worker in different local NGO`s and also in Governmental agencies.
More than half a year ago, I have moved to the United States of America, to continue my graduate studies in Conflict Resolution. I am studying for my Master Degree at The Institute of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University.
My past, present and future are shaped and influenced by two major factors/forces; the National Conflict (The Israeli Palestinian) and by my gender, growing up in a Patriarchal family, having five brothers with no sisters, within a traditional society.
Therefore part of my decision to continue my studies at the US and in this particular program, beside my interest in learning how to deal with conflict and to learn about other conflicts around the world, is related to my own inner personal belief, that as a woman, who was influenced by these two forces (Gender and National Conflict), if I want to conduct any kind of change whether on the macro or micro level, I have the responsibility to bring my unique and different voice to the world.

Challanges

My Challenges:

My Areas of Expertise:
