I really enjoyed reading about how powerful the monologues where and how one woman said that it was the first time that she can remember laughing in such a long time. It is important to share these stories with all women and it is even more important to not forget that so many who are in prison are survivors of sexual violence. This is a really powerful article. 01 May 2015 09:15 by Netsai Thanks Alyssa, society sees most of these women as rebels without a cause. Once convicted, their journey to the conviction is lost in translation. Their identity of woman is quicly replaced to "criminal". As mentioned in the article, most of these women, are survivors or sexual, mental, physical and emotional abuse. Their abuse moulded their paths and became their life story.
