Victory!

Aung San Suu Kyi and all women from NLD party won !
People of Myanmar had been talking and listening about By-election with their excitement and a bit worry . It was started after the announcement heard from the National League for Democracy that Aung San Suu Kyi would participate in By-election as a representative from a township. The announcement was happily welcome by the people and pages of the news journal were taken place of big crowds gathering at Aung San Suu Kyi 's campaign's trips. People believed that she would win in the By-election because she is the most favorite because of her commitment and idea of the developing democracy in Myanmar. However people were a little bit worried if the election would be fair and free. NLD party registered in all vacant forty eight places in parliament .Three places from Kachin State were rejected from the election and finally the election was run in forty five places .

During the campaign , Aung San Suu Kyi incredibly led the campaign not only in her representing township but also for the other candidates from her party and obtained people's huge support. It was really amazing to see another thirteen women candidates participated in the election representing NLD party and they all have remarkable history for achieving democracy and human right in Myanmar .

Before , during and after the election, people showed their support to Aung San Suu Kyi and her party by flying the party's flags and posting the stickers and wearing party's T- Shirts . They all were eagerly waiting to vote for her and her party. On the election day, people went o the election with full of confidence and courage and voted who they liked . Some observers and journalists from the UN , the United States , Europe and Asia were watching the election and this was a real encouragement for the people . It was the people's voice of cheer after they knew the landslide victory of Aung San Suu Kyi and her party winning forty three places out of forty five places.

All thirteen women , including Aung San Suu Kyi won the election , although one woman quit from the election because of the threat to her safety in her representing township. Anyway , it was the remarkable of Myanmar showing people's desire of loving democracy and loving Aung San Suu Kyi and good woman leaders to build a democratic country where people are respected and encouraged to be free to develop their own , their community and their country . Actually , this is a second landslide victory of Aung San Suu Kyi in the election and her first victory was in 1990 but the power of administration was not transferred to her and people are expecting the new government to let her free involvement in building an internationally modernized country.
