media Influence on domestic violence

In today's media there's more stories of same sexed domestic violence case's ending in someone being killed. The media leads these stories in a way that leaves people in the same situations with no information or with the feelings that if I reported this it would not be viewed as being serous. But when a man is domestically abusive to a woman and is in the news instant phone numbers for help a during the story appear this reinforcement that this type of violence is seen as more serious and more likely to be reported then in same sex or gender diversity community. The media are Cleary sending the message that all domestic violence case's are not serious and don't offer support lines for them to call. Major changes in media personalities and how the message is delivered would lead to more offense being reported and we won't see any more same sex or gender diversity deaths form domestic violence case's. We need to encourage the media to protect civilians and promotion of human effects of this
