Factors That Influence Public Health

All problems that deal with the protection and the promotion of human health are complimentary to one another. These questions cannot be separated and they need to be looked at from a global perspective--it is not possible to look at these issues by the efforts made in different sectors (such as health, education, agriculture, economy, public works, information, etc.)

The idea that human health depends exclusively on medical acts is outdated. Illnesses that disrupt the lives of individuals, families, and communities are rarely due to isolated causes. Most often they are a set of factors that combine and interact. That's why the reduction of the rates of infant mortality does not only depend on the construction of health centers, but also on agriculture, and industry, and the ease in exchanges, as well as the community.
