The bubbling up effect… When I grow the world grows, when I change the world change.

The bubbling up effect… When I grow the world grows, when I change the world change.

My personal vision is to create opportunities of change through developing my writing skills to use as an empowerment tool for women in my community.
I want to use writing as a tool of empowerment, talking about issues that affect me, the personal and the political. Writing of personal experiences and giving my readers the opportunity to use it as a platform for debate and change, a platform for other women to reflect through my experiences on their own.

The statement “I write what I like” has become my statement of change, a reflection for me on how important my story is. In week two of the V.O.F assignments one of the readers commented on my story “I would like to hear your voice, I would like to read your personal story”, these words sing in my mind every time I pick up my pen or sit in front of my PC to write. Realising more and more how important it is for me to tell my own story and doing this doesn’t come with out its challenges of having to be in a constant reflective space and past experiences, this however is giving me the opportunity to create my future, the future that I desire, that is with out prejudice, pain or self sacrifice required from me to just be me.

All of this growth has been offered to me through the past four weeks, doing assignments, communicating connecting with other participants and just being on pulsewire.com browsing around. I see myself as a role player for change in society and voices of our future have given me the platform of reflection. I want to be a V.O.F correspondent as I believe that only more positive growth that and will be facilitated by this project for me, giving my community the chance of having a global voice through my writing, being guided through a process of transformation for positive growth now and for my future. Many great minds spoke of the ‘self’ and how one should develop the self for the world to be a better place. I believe in this that only if I create change in myself can I create change in my community/society/world.

Working from the bottom up, nurturing and sustaining myself through living with in my vision but not letting it be a barrier to create more positive change. When change occurs in my life it automatically occurs outside my life…”When I grow, the world grows, when I change, the world change.” And WEB 2.0 is the step for me towards internal growth and change.
