Beautiful and reliable, what do I do without you?
There when all are not, you know things I can do
Without you what can I do? Dependable ally in time like this
You made me realise who I am and waited patiently to sprout
You believe in me more than I believe in myself
The only truth I know about myself was told by you.

When others signed out on me you were beside me
When some walked out was when you walked in.
Severally, I demanded why behave towards me this manner
And your response opens other questions not yet clarified
If I were to come again, I will walk same road to meet you
And climb that same stairs in order to behold your face.

The humanity in man is exemplary in your views
The selflessness in God is replicated in your ability to spread
You love without withholding, not minding my not replicating
The unimaginable steps to save in time of danger
Gave the impression of one ready for perpetual sacrifice
How do I pay back when I can neither see nor touch you?

Always on my mind and as I breathe, I remember you
Standing among the crowd, thinking and talking about us
Though we have never met, but I am sure you are aware
That speaking, thinking and fighting for us
Without neither knowing nor related to us is enough sign
As we continue to fight we recognise your pains.

You are there, not watching the agonies but imagining
