Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
Joy Eze is a a rural women leader, social enterprenour, peace advocate, mentor, motivator,
and mediator with more tha 10 years experience on these activities. She had attended many
capacity building workshops and had participated in resolving conflicts and bringing peace
amongst people and communities in Uzo-Uwani LGA, Enugu State, Nigeria and had on several
occasions demonstrated her skills positively, and efficiently to the admirstion of members of her
community. A case in point being that in 2008, she mediated in a protracted logger-head between
Farmers in Uzo-Uwani and normadic Fulani Cattle Rearers. The Fulani cattles had habitually
destroyed farmlands owned by members of the Uzo-Uwani farming Community. This led to
disbutes, bitter quarrels, fighting of vendatas, killings, and the raping of young women and girls
between the two communities. Her mediation brought peace to the two communities and ended
their misunderstanding. She organized the women of both communities and trained them as
peacemakers and inspired and urged them to privail upon their husbands and children to ensure
that peace reigned in the community.
