Introducing myself and my journal: The Nowhere Roads

About Me:
Writer, dreamer and incurable optimistic.. some 12 years ago journalism found me. Ever since I have traveled to some of the most troubled spots in my state to report on issues as varied as the AIDS epidemic, terrorism, gender biases in education, hunger and malnutrition, loss of traditional livelihoods and the like. This I do in a state which is India's politically most important and has the most people. Consider this, if it were an independent country, it would have been the sixth largest in the world population wise.

In my spare time, I work with non governmental organizations, documenting their efforts and strategy building for them to ensure the continuation of child and youth centric programs long after the donor has pulled out.

To me, my profession is about a deep level of satisfaction and the constant quest for answers. Every day is a new challenge, every person on the field a teacher of sorts.

This is where I belong.

My Passions:
Photography, music

My Challenges:
My own government, bureucratic apathy and my prejuidces

My Vision for the Future:
A place where each of us is born free AND equal and NOT in chains of any kind

My Areas of Expertise:
Children, youth, gender, terrorism, HIV-AIDS, livelihood.
