Combat human trafficking via the Internet

Stop Trafficking (http://www.stoptrafficking.in/) is a web portal to fight human trafficking through email and mobile alerts. It was launched in March 2011 with support from the Department of Women and Child Development of the state government of Goa, India. The website contains a confidential list of details of persons (usually children and young women) reported missing in South Asian countries. It also has a database of legal provisions, government and independent services, organizations and institutions involved in protection, rescue and rehabilitation of vulnerable kids and women.

The Stop Trafficking website invites individuals and groups to share relevant resources and information by becoming partners. The initiative was conceived and developed by Arz (http://www.arzindia.org/), a Goa based NGO working on the issue of human trafficking. Various persons working in the development and information technology sector in India also contributed to this endeavour.
