Opening the Window

As October crawls towards November with a hint of summer still in the air and my window open to let the world into my personal house, I can reflect on my day, week, month, year, and life while listening to the sounds of the present and of the future as cars go by, birds chirp and people pass. Life is always moving, never quiet, never still. This is a vision I want to encompass for my life, always moving towards something better; a louder voice, a stronger voice. Always exploring new possibilities, encounters, cultures and experiences. I want to pass this passion and desire to my friends and family to strengthen my community, so that we can be stronger to influence and effect the world.

There is a short video that I watched yesterday that is called, Just One Day... it’s about if everyone in the world didn’t eat meat for one day, how the effects of that make a difference globally, not just to one person. I want to be a part of how one person can make a change that can be felt around the world? That is why I want to be one of the voices for a Voice of Our Correspondent. This weaves into my vision to be able to raise my voice, to make it stronger. I work with children that can not verbally speak their voice, my job is to find ways so that they can have a voice and share what they want. I feel honored to have such an important job as to be able to give alternative ways for these children to be able to say “I want”, “ I need”. Through pictures of items and new technology these children are being taught how to have a voice and how to be heard. I am learning through PulseWire how to have a voice and to be heard, I am growing as an individual which is a strong belief for me. I am willing myself to be exposed to the world, to nature, to the climates of the at risk, weakened, deprived struggles of the world. I can see Web 2.0 be the voice that rises from the ashes like a phoenix and give a strong voice to the women that have meaningful words to say.

Each day I awaken more day older, not always wiser, but older. Each day I have a goal, to be happy, to make another person happy. I want to see myself grow each day, not just a day on the calendar, but to grow inside, to be able to explore my mind, views, thoughts, ideas. I want to hear other people’s views, thoughts, and ideas as well so that I can reflect and add or subtract my beliefs and ideas with other peoples thoughts.

One can not change if one is afraid of what someone else may think or say. I am ready for a challenge that will let me do that, to help me become a better person, to help me make other voices be heard. I have great teachers at work that help guide and direct so that the voices of the children can grow and strengthen so they can become vocal in the community. I have been working with wonderful people on PulseWire and they are helping guide me through the process of becoming a more vocal supportive woman. Through all my experiences and teachings I can say that I am on my way to living my vision of how I want my life to be. The next step is to encourage and support my community and from there how to make my life and community more accepting to the world, to better the world. So I will continue to open my window to my house and to my soul so that I can be a voice of change, a voice of positivity, a strong voice that can be heard in the present and in the future.
