The Countdown Begins!

Hello!

There are just about three weeks left to go before the application process starts! Over 240 amazing women have signed up for this opportunity--representing 64 countries! All of us at World Pulse are excited to learn more about you and read your stories.

Many of you are probably wondering what the application process will be like, and what subjects you will be introduced to during this four-week process. We can't show you the link to the online classroom just yet, but here is a list of the topics we will be presenting:

Week 1--An Introduction to Web 2.0 and Citizen Journalism. This week will cover topics such as women and media, Web 2.0 concepts, and opportunities provided by new media.

Week 2--Personal Stories. This week focuses on the story of world pulse, what our vision and values are, and how our editorial cycle is different.

Week 3--This week talks about ways to engage an online community, and share resources and solutions that can transform your community and your life.

Week4--This week talks about the empowerment methodology that our partner The Empowerment Institute uses to help people plan and achieve their visions for social change. We also talk about ways that women can regain their belief in themselves, their intuition and how to nurture your happiness.

Stay tuned, next week we will share some basic blogging strategies and how to make your blogs stand out using html to make text bold, italicized, and even create lists!
