Girls’ Access to Education. The Barriers. The Solutions.

I have faced problem in accessing quality education. When I want to get admission in university, my father wants me not to go to a good university but a cheap one. But afterward my dad supported me. But I have seen many girls in Pakistan who have no access to education. The customs of different ethnic groups never allow their females to get education. So they do not have the right to think and to take part in major issues of families. Because many women do not have any information regarding health. Many have many children and many of the women die of not taking care of themselves in pregnancy. Through a survey as a field officer, I saw a pregnant woman living in a very small room, having five children and one more in her womb. She was not educated. Her children do not go to school. I observed and thought that if this woman ever had a chance to get education, may be her parents did not allow her to avail the opportunity. And now she can’t teach her children. Being uneducated is a reason of destruction of her next generation. She was not aware of family planning, so she continually was conceiving a new one. And may be after the sixth child, she can have more children. The great challenges we have is the thinking of many people who think that it is useless to educate a girl. They see women only as a sexual tool, to raise children, to do domestic work. No other plan or vision relates to the existence of women. Many families marry their daughter in a very small age, the age when she does not know the meaning and responsibilities of being a wife. So in a way women have no importance in society. The tradition is bit different in some of the cities. Many females when reaching to collage lack confidence because of lack of honor from male gender. Many women fears to do job. The fears of rape and dishonor stops them .i have faced the same thing when I studied in a coeducation university. I lack my confidence in walking n front of male gender. With the passage of time I overcome it. But still many women have the same problem. But women are struggling continually bu facing the harsh realities of life. Courage is great tools which equip a female to not only survive but also to live according to her choice. The tools of encouragement, confidence and steps of bravery can help many women to get a position in the society. Women can raise their voice by joining hands with other women who speak for rights of women. Online education can help them top be aware of the resources. Education acts like a sword and can transform the life of one person. The educations of one woman can educated the whole family. It can bring the joy of spring season. It can remove the shadows of darkness. The liberty and good use of this liberty can transform the whole society. Through education I have the courage to speak for the rights of women and to do work for justice.
