When You Meet Another Her

So ,

when you hear

The news of another

Zainab being raped,

Did not I tell you?

That

Zainab was yet

To be a woman

Her private parts were

Yet to be developed

And she was only 5 years old

When she got

rapped to death,

When you meet someone in

Your neighborhood

Feeling lost in imagination

Creating a gender free world

In her mental sky

And you hear

The world calling

Her an

idealist in vain!!

Escaping this cold world

In warmth of

her woven words.

When you see a face

Burnt from an acid attack

Or come across

Another Qandeel

Honor killed!

When you see another

Malala risking her life

For the love of school

Or may be down the valley

When you see another me

Fighting patriarchy all alone

And silently shedding tears

Of sigh and disappointment

From the friends

Turning enemies!

When you meet a brave head

Fighting for justice

Silently screaming for mercy

While covered with thorns

Of a dreadful society cursing her

For being a courageous change!

My dear son

Bow down to that

Malala, that Qandeel, that Zainab

And your own

Self sufficient Mom,

Tell your fellow friends

Including yourself,

And how could you

Be superior

To a self

From her body

You have come out!
