A New Page of Life (Smelling the change waves through Web 2.0)!

What most excites me in Web 2.0 is that it connects/bonds women and men across the world whom they have different backgrounds, religion, status, experiences, and so on. It creates a platform whereby they can meet, discuss issues that concern them, exchange ideas, share their stories and experiences. It really empowers women across the world to speak up, raise their voices and say what they want others to hear. Web 2.0 is really amazing as it makes women and men to connect and share ideas and experiences and by the end of the day they will come up with a better ways to address the issues.

Web 2.0 really made things easier by linking people who share the same vision/views, women across the world can act as if they are together in one place and that is one of its numerous benefits. In my case it helped me connect to the other world, I mean women and men who are very far from me and where I stay, and it will help me raise my voice, share my stories and stories about my community and where I live since there are many people who has little or absolutely no idea of what is really happening in my place (good or bad), what violence and abuse women face, what development and performances they do for their community, what they really do to survive and what they get in return, how women are treated widely and so on and so forth.

Although I am just one person but I believe and trust that I can change someone’s life if not many and because of web 2.0 I am sure I will find many people whom we share the same vision, who will encourage me and support me in one way or another, there is a Somali saying which is “One finger cant wash the whole face” or as its been said in another saying “Many hands working together performs well”. As from childhood I always dreamed of lifting up other women and helping them whatever way possible and I can see that dream is coming true, am so excited to see when this dream changes in to reality.

We can empower others but we can’t force them to change as it has been said “You can force a horse to the lake but you can’t make it drink”, everything is just trying and trying without getting tired of it, everything is possible there is nothing called impossible because the word itself stands for I'M POSSIBLE.

I can see and smell the change's waves through web 2.0, we will never be defeated unless we admit it, we should keep going and there is no turning back, that is it.
