Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am freshman at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. With my heart set on traveling and helping women around the world I am pursuing a degree in Social Work & Women's Studies. Although, I am young and at the beginning of my work as an activist I look forward to seeing the changes I help create in the future of women. Like every women I too have a unique story, I am a survivor of teen dating violence and a survivor of rape. The start of my activist career will be to start a program I have proposed called, Be Heard!, the program consists of survivors telling their story to empower teenagers to be careful in relationships, and stand up against teen dating violence.
