On the beginning of February 2011 , the unmerciful and un-peaceful demonstrations started in Aden city. It took lives of innocent soldiers by random gunshots and restricted roaming in Aden for army personnel. The demonstrators attacked soldiers and hurt them severely, while soldiers were peaceful and could not harm them. They , soldiers , simply abandoned their weapons and repeated that they are peaceful. However the vandalized demonstrators had no patience as they breached all codes of courtesy and listened to no dialogue except their own voice. Plus , their demands are so unrealistic and created a big load on the friendly government.

Mothers, on the same edge, encourage their sons to vandalize , corrupt and hit all soldiers and governmental properties. Moreover, they ask their sons at the age of 15 and 16 years old to join the wild demonstrations and cruelly attack the camouflaged soldiers with harmful bombs, tear gas and rubbery bullets. They poured hot water and hit them with sticks . Further, they shot them directly in the forehead ,even in the soldiers' houses. Further, they, mothers, told their sons not to stay home as girls , but to go , treat and give the soldiers lessons aggressively. In addition , they asked them not to go to schools nor work so that all kinds of regular life will be damaged. Finally , they asked them to be killed.

Dear readers, is there any bit of logic of the latter two paragraphs that you can elicit ?and /or do you have any evidence saying that the above is true?

Dear Readers , the simple middle class worker demands a rise in his salary or a promotion that makes him able to repaint his house , but not to buy a single bullet. Adeni Women has been suffering since the beginning of February as they lost sons in the so-called peaceful demonstrations ,while soldiers blindly , crazily shot all peaceful demonstrators. Since then , mothers live in mourning as no mother would accept the loss of a dear son. They plead their beloved sons not to go out , but they insisted to be martyrs of freedom. They carried no weapons , except the words they chanted and banners their raised. However , bullets of snipers targeted foreheads so that it causes immediate , quick and certain death.

The list of martyrs is in rapid increase as well as mothers in black. Photos of young martyrs are hanged on walls , doors and even shops as an attribute to those who left us for the sake of this land.

Women in Aden started to demonstrate against the regime and against what is happening for their sons whom have no crime except that they were in peaceful demonstrations. This initiative woke women of Aden from their mourning to share with each other their loss and pain.

Thus , I dedicate this piece of writing to all mothers who lost their sons and to all brave hearted young men who have become immortal martyrs for Yemen and for change .

Dear Sahar, Thank you for sharing your voice, and the concerns of your fellow Adeni women with this insight into the events taking place there. This is a pivotal time in history and your voice is very important! Take care, Breese

Dear Sahar,

This is a poignant piece about loss, and I like the use of starting the story out with falsehoods, to prove how unreasonable they were. A question though, are the first two paragraphs the perspective that the government was promoting? What is being done now, other than mourning--do you feel like there has been something gained by these protests? It would be great to add a little more opinion at the end about where you want or think these demonstrations will take Yemen.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Keep up the good work.

Kind regards,

Dear Rachael

Indeed , the government is distributing this direction through media . It is irony when you see how it mobilizes people against peaceful protesters. Until now , it is everyday protests , checkpoints and unrevealed curfew within the city districts. All protests in all parts of Yemen have one main goals which is Justice for all.

You have such a creative way of engaging the reader on a very difficult topic. You educated me on a reality I know very little about, but you did it in such a way that, instead of being stark statistics that my mind can't (or doesn't want to) grasp, it becomes emotionally tangible. I lived through your eyes while reading the piece; I was there with you and the mothers of the martyrs. That is the mark of a BRILLIANT writer. Thank you for sharing your immense talent and obvious passion with the world. You have helped to bring a human face to all the abstract news stories with which we are constantly inundated; your voice is needed. Beautifully done.

Thanks Nusrat and Sonia for your appreciation .

Your choice to lead the OpEd with the contrasting version of "truth" was so powerful. It really drew me into the piece and filled me with emotion about the situation-- anger, frustration, sadness.

I am hopeful for the future of Yemen, and know that women will play a big part in making a better world possible. Thank you for sharing this story here.
