Dear all,

I have just created a group called Somali Women Leaders. I would like that all interested sisters Somali or not join us and share with your experiences and guide us through. Fans and supporters are thus welcome.

This is a group that wishes to provide a forum for discussion for Somali sisters who believe in the possibility of a peaceful Somalia. Its also hopes to lay the foundation for brainstorm sessions on what we need to do in order to shape our thoughts and plan better, how we can galvanize support and ignite reactions/debate on a more wider level.

The dream and possibility of a more peaceful Somalia is possible. Just as the gun is reachable and in the hands of our leaders so is peace and prosperity also reachable and in our hands too. We just need to think and act differently. It is possible to turn around the clock. Somali women's rights must also be respected. We want peace in our time. A different Somalia is possible. We just have to act and talk differently. Somali can and do have a role to play. Its time to listen to the women.
