Because she believed that people who were labeled hater were either once very capable of loving or were too capable of loving in their own innocent yet pessimistic way. Their heart probably put to the test by the so called “loving” (madcap’s) in this world. Who don’t take long to chain up what does not suit them and put a name on it. Anyone would get bitter after a session of being judged by the social critics or the wise men who know much more about what God wants us to be!
How are they to stand up and confess their feelings? So they quietly crawl into dark corners and shadowy places where the spot light of emotions will not disturb them anymore or inflict them with more shame for being heartless or different. They remain in the dark and ignite in the flames inside themselves becoming darker and harder and sharper like things usually do when they burn in fire. Their insides shrink and are slowly left with only a fraction of emotion.

She knew what he was thinking; what if he was to show an emotion and get dusted back into the fire place; in what probably seemed to him to be her in all her carefree majesty. Because that’s what love does, you see! It keeps its reputable path clean and puts haters back where they belong, no questions asked.
“We, the loving, are also biased spectators, amused by fire and what all it can do. Fire can only be awed at or used to ones advantage; that too from a safe distance. Isn’t it?!
We, the loving, forget to throw some sand or water on the flames, with maybe a little more sympathy and compassion, some mercy and understanding. For we are the loving but we fail to love.”
