are you a person

or just an object
a dead man walking
or a person full of life
feeling free as a bird

do you care about anybody
other than yourself

are you a shining STAR
a dime that's discovered everyday
or are you in darkness
feeling like ain't no light

are you glad to be ALIVE
or do you wish you were dead?

do you come up with an answer
or does your mind become blank?

ask yourself who you are and if you don't know it don't mean you lost it just means you have to go deeper to find out b'cause we all have the answers deep within us so long as we reach out for them and are willing to try.
