As it dawns after a long black night on earth, slowly moves aside the curtain of ignorance and darkness.Ironically, such dawn is yet to be dawned on the minds of people. Around the world, where only terror, crime, fanaticism, wars, conflicts rule , the possibility of having an universal word, peace is getting diminished. But this grey cloud can't hover for long ,neither can despair our ignited minds nor can wipe the conviction of being strong. What lacks within us is the sense , which falters every now and then, sometimes due to fear of religion, sometimes due to fear of status or fear of discrimination. Isn't it so apt that years ago when Rabindranath Tagore wrote the following lines, the society still needed to break itself away from the chains of its own limitations and today too the world while being on the verge of losing its last hope of humaneness, awaits one such ray of hope ...

Where the mind is without fear

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high

Where knowledge is free

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments

By narrow domestic walls

Where words come out from the depth of truth

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way

Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit

Where the mind is led forward by thee

Into ever-widening thought and action

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

  • Rabindranath Tagore

Will we be able to carry forth this hope and faith which took generation of leaders to fight for this universal peace? Let's believe we all are the only and last ray of hope for the dying humanity.

Dear Soumya,

It is at times so difficult to hold onto the belief that we can create the changes that we see so clearly are desperately needed. To read that you are holding the light of that candle, sharing the words of Tagore that by our thoughts and actions we can awaken a new way, strengthens my resolve that this change is possible, and that we are here to make it happen. Your beautiful poetic words bring Tagore's into today's reality. Yes, we are facing such a shocking absence of humaneness, but with the renewed strength that we now have in being able to read each others' words of hope and determination, this ray of hope is becoming brilliant. I am stronger today in knowing you are there. As we all meet, we are standing beautifully together.

With Love,

Tamarack

Dear Tams,

Iam so glad to have you here and more that my lines could provide a sense of that initiation which we sometimes find missing of getting lost in the mundane and tragic lives of today. Iam sure there are people around who always keep the last ray of hope burning and take forward whole generation to new horizon crossing all the troubles and hurdles. Its always in the mind and thought,as said, what we think we can achieve.!

Best wishes,

Soumya

Such sad words, Soumya. I know that we are in worldwide chaos now, but I also believe that chaos must come before new paths to peace are put into place. I believe that our ability to communicate and unite over the internet, through World Pulse, will bring a new energy to each of our efforts.

Together, we can create a new world order based on understanding instead of fear.

Continue being a blessing on our shared earth, Soumya.

I believe that what philospher/theologioan Hans Kung says is true:

“No peace among the nations without peace among the religions.

No peace among the religions without dialogue between the religions

No dialogue between the religions without investigation of the foundation of the religions.”

― Hans Küng, Christianity: Essence, History, Future

I have been invited to act as an ambassador to the Parliament of the World's Religions, in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA October 15-19, 2015

I have already been a listener, on a very small scale, for this organization. I would like to use my position as World Pulse listener to bring together the voices of women of religion and spiritual beliefs. I see this as an opportunity to bring these voices of women from 190 countries to the Parliament with me.

It is, of course, also an opportunity for any of you to attend the Parliament with me.

Please let me know if you would like to add your voice.

Thank you so much for being such amazing blessings upon our shared earth.

Yvette

Hi, It has been a pleasure having you here ,where you share the real voice of  Hans Kung. Really good  to know that you have been chosen as the ambassador for the Parliament of World Religions. What one needs is to embrace others and his faith through due respect , the continous disarray of conflicts would then be erased from minds and hearts.

Spreading peace through love and words of compassion can change the world through efforts by every individual.

It will be prestigious to be a part of this convention. Drop me a mail about the same .

Thanks,

Soumya

Hello, My World Pulse Sister.

In doing a search on WP, filtered for the term “religion,” I have come upon this post.

I am honored to be an ambassador to the 2015 Parliament of the World’s Religions to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA in October.  As an ambassador, I am tasked with listening to the voices of others regarding religion and spiritual beliefs and practices, and taking these voices to the 80 countries and 10,000 people represented at the convocation.  The purpose of the event, held every five years, is to create harmony among the many spiritual songs sung on our shared earth.

I firmly believe that this group needs to hear from our World Pulse community which includes voices and spiritual beliefs from 180 countries. Please review the attached links and help me to know how we can create a choir of World Pulse voices at the next parliament.
