'Post Quake: Sexual Violence Against Haitian Women and Girls.'

In December, 2010, Susan Hall will travel to Haiti with human rights attorney Jayne Fleming and a team of five legal volunteers. Hall will photograph in Port-au-Prince where hundreds of thousands of earthquake survivors continue to live in crowded tent camps. The project will focus on the post-quake crisis of sexual violence against Haitian women and girls, in an environment where physical security and the rule of law are largely absent and prosecution of and conviction for rape remain almost unheard of.

Each of the thirty four women will tell her story and portraits will accompany the stories. The portraits will be made in a way that protects the women's privacy and identity.

\"The women are motivated to tell their stories because they have suffered violence and injustice and speaking out is a way of fighting back, raising awareness about their suffering, and demanding protection, \" says Fleming.

Additionally, Hall will photograph tent camps, hospitals, clinics and street photography in support of reports documenting human rights violations in Haiti.
