Education can make a huge difference in children life; let us give them a good care

My name is Tandio Traore, I come from Mali, I live in a rural village names Ouelessebougou, situated at 80 km from Bamako, the capital city. The main activity of my community is agriculture and traditional mining. Women are the main breadwinner of this community to generate an income most of them migrate to mining gold area to meet their children basics needs. When they migrate in this area, or go to work. Many younger children stay in the street, because there is nobody in their families or proper center to take care of them. Some are victims of accidents; which can cause their death. They are exposed to some other risks such as epidemics, and exploitation. Other brings their children with them in mining gold area. The children in my community are suffering a lot; the solution that could alleviate this suffering was education and an adequate place to care these innocent children. I mean set up a childcare development center for these children so that they can play together and live in a safe, peaceful environment and enjoy their childhood. The set up of this center must be a sustainable solution for these children; it will also be an opportunity for them to be out of risks. The first year, I started working with 40 children; with the help of children care providers who take well care of and supervise them. As result many women witnessed to have more peace of mind where in their working place. Today we have 80 children. They are happy, and their mothers have safe, because they do not care anymore about their children, because they are safe. In the future my fight will be children labors in mining area and the opening of an orphanage for street children .Nowadays many children drop out school and migrate to mining area to work. The only place of a child after home is school. They must enjoy their childhood and live in a safe environment. It also helps mothers in my community to work and earn Income to meet their children basics needs.
