The price of womanhood
Jan 21, 2015
Story
My collection of poetry unveils the real Africa, and it seeks to
investigate the untold stories of Nigeria's political martyrs, the cost
of democracy, and the strength of Nigeria.
It laments s the unfair nature of non female and the injustice of the affluent.
To balance my work, it sets out to describe the man and woman
relationship in the midst of an unfair system, the struggles of training a
child, the quest for the supernatural and the power of speech, the sense
of humanity and the re-written story of the black race.
AMABO, is indeed, a fusion of the human, the power, and supernatural.
The reality of the wholeness of a man ,is what makes AMABO a unique Collection.

Do enjoy these ones:
THE MALE CHILD
18
I am a woman not desired
A mother not wanted
A wife not accepted
My father wanted a male child
He said my mother made a girl instead…
Now I am humiliated
Deprived and used
Must I be blamed for my gender?
Should I be seen as a pain in the neck?
This is certainly a battle I must win
FOR SALE
23
Along the international market
A colourful billboard got my attention
I turned to enquire about the product for sale
Branded to be sold is my fellow woman
My woman, your woman has finally been reduced to a commodity....
How callous can this society be?
How guilty are the inhabitants of this world
In fact the whole world is so guilty
Tell me
Who are the traders?
Tell me
What is the price for womanhood?
MY TRADITION, MY WORLD
24
I can be given out in marriage
I can be thrown out of marriage
I must endure infidelity
I dare not attempt to cheat
My tradition,
What does it allow?
My tradition allows me to be used ?
To attain a position I am qualified for?
