Can anyone identify the plant on Front cover of Sum/Fall 2009?

I happened upon the World Pulse magazine last night in our small local bookstore. This week I've been reading and sharing The New York Times Magazine, which highlights women's issues and their place in the world economy. I've ordered a personal copy of Pray the Devil Back to Hell, and will be passing that along to a small group of women here in Sylva. I'm proposing that the group purchase the public viewing DVD.
