About Me:
I am more than 10 years work in journalism of Woman and Human rights in Iraqi kurdistan.
I was borne in 1977 in Suleymani another city in kurdistan region.
Know i am Director For Warvin Foundation for Woman Issues.
We have a Magazine Special for woman issues.

Warvin Foundation Profile

Warvin Foundation for women issues has intensively worked on Women's Issue in Kurdistan Region. It has been established on 1 July-2009 by a handful of a majority women independent journalist.
Warvin has a bi-weekly magazine comprises 68 colorful pages focused on paying more attention to women questions, human rights, and journalism interviews aiming to explore women's issue and addressing of it.
It also has a news-website issue by Arabic language and both Kurdish accents Sorani and Bahdini for posting women's news across of Kurdistan Region, Middle East and worldwide.
The foundation has founded based on gender to promote the skills of male and female at the same time in terms of journalism and serving women's issue on the other hand.
It is the only magazine works on the women's issue in a different category within the magazine such as political category shed a light on all barriers ahead of women to taking part from the political arena, plus interviewing figures, women activist in and out of the region.
Social category; underlines the violence conducted against women in the community under the accusations of honor; it also posts critical articles on inactive government performance regarding this issue.
It played a key role in gender equality and how to women participates in private sector and government institutions.
Political category; it highlights the human rights breaches have been made in police institutions , court and political positions, addition of this, it gave legal instructions, introducing women to the international treaties that paved the way to take part in all grounds in a daily basis of life.
Health category; it has dedicated to aware women to know how protect themselves from those diseases face women and revealing the negligence of health directorates trough reports been published.
Warvin has allocated two other categories for Economy, culture and environment to show traditions and environment via reports and interviews.
The magazine has issued 38 No. the first one was on 19 July-2009 in across of Kurdistan boundary with Kirkuk and Mosul as well, 3000 circulation for each time.
Members of the magazine came from a different place in Kurdistan region and some other countries in Meddle East like Syria, Turkey, Emirate, Iran, and Saudi Arabia reported on women's issue.
Closing Warvin Magazine; Warvin had a regular certain amount of budget given by Kurdistan Regional government, but it has been cut after KRG premier has decided to cut funds on media outlets on 1-March-2011, since then the magazine has been stopped from publishing.

Warvin was the only publication that expressed its concerning by issuing a statement on government cut funding, but no one listened of it. In the statement we clarified that despite of having women murdering under the accusation of honor, KRG has decided to cut the financial aid on the regions' only women issue magazine.
Throughout of working the following polls have been conducted:-
2-1: Conducting a Poll on Harassment in Four Provinces (Erbil, Sleimania, Kirkuk, Dahuk): the poll turned out that %59 of women has faced harassment in the region. The most case has taken place on the street by speech abusing. The polling has done on 1-Oct.09 and was disseminated on 9-Oct.2009, Warvin has held the expenses of the poll.
2-2: Conducting a Poll on the Weapon and Its Effect on the Honor Killing: it has conducted on March 2011and published on 1-April-2011. The poll has revealed that %79 participants stated that weapon has a big negative influence on honor killing; again the cost of the poll was in Warvin Foundation.
2-3: Evaluating Women's Issue in Fifth and Sixth KRG Administration Cabinet: It has conducted across of Kurdistan that showed KRG has been careless about women's issue.
2-4: Opening Photo Exhibition for 10 Students in Erbil Fine Arts College: the exhibition has denoted the violence against women in all fields of community. It has open on 25 Nov. 2009; Warvin has held the costs of it.
