Women and the Vote in the Congo

In every country in the world, women’s right to participate in the vote is of vast important for the development of their country. Here, as Congolese girls, we speak for all Congolese women, who have the initiative and the will to take part with others in the fight, and who would like to represent their people in the decision-making process, in order to protect their community and its purpose. We have noticed that instead of encouraging their female colleagues in the process, most women discuss their weaknesses and belittle their strengths.

We recommend that Congolese women don’t focus their attention on weaknesses or problems, but rather to see how to improve wherever possible and also to encourage the strengths and assets of their fellow leaders. This way women themselves will have confidence in other women by voting for their female colleagues, like men do.

Similarly, women leaders should set to work, all the while respecting everyone as they are.

We women are called to support female candidates, because most women are less interested in politics. Therefore our strength lies in our ability to come together to solve any given problem. In this way men will respect us in this stage of reflection.

Bonjour Wetewabo,

Merci pour votre contribution à World Pulse.

Solidairement, LightMyWay (Lydia)
