I am the founder of Anakazi Center for Women’s Empowerment and Development (Anakazi Center) a non-profit organization which facilitates economic, social and political empowerment of African women by increasing knowledge of global issues, advocating for human rights, and supporting the equal participation of women and men in addressing development issues.

Anakazi Center accomplishes this mission through two core areas: Advocacy and Business Development. Utilizing dynamic and culturally-relevant approaches to empower and propel African women toward success, Anakazi Center endeavors to achieve the following goals:

• Networking -Connect women globally
• Create Business Development Support Networks
• Harness the power of women to create meaningful change in the family, community and local economy
• Identify and connect women to Mentors

I was born and raised in Zambia and currently residing in Los Angeles California. I am an Accountant by profession and spent part of my career working in Zambia in the mining and non-governmental sectors. My overall professional work experience spans over 15 years in several industries including healthcare, NGO, mining and legal. I have over 6 years corporate accounting experience

I am passionate about helping African women entrepreneurs and women refugees. At Anakazi Center we develop business development support networks, partnerships and create networking platforms for African women. We share information and resources through our global online platform Anakazi Business Network

Anakazi Center is utilizing technology and free social media tools to connect African women across the globe. Through Voices of Anakazi, a weekly blog talk radio show, I host and interview successful African women entrepreneurs, leaders and experts in various fields who share and serve as mentors to other African Women.
