Keeping life record as a reference of positive change

I do not under look myself, I always think positive in difficult situations, I dream big always. My job title does not define me at all, I do not earn salary I get paid 30,000 Uganda Shillings (US $13) only when we have HIV/AIDS trainings in the Universities which happens once or twice a month. To earn a living I am a website designer, I make websites for Organisations at a cheaper cost, I am also an Entrepreneur I do sell cloths, shoes, jewelries in my village and life goes on. Jobs in Uganda is based on technical know who, if you have a relation somewhere, you will get the job, as I patiently search for a better one week by week I have never lost hope neither given up to this level. After all I was a mere Bar maid, to this level I will never giveup! it was through TakingItGlobal (TIG) under GYCA (Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS)a network of youths around the world in the fight of HIV/AIDS that I came to know about Voices of Our Future, I had never known I would ever get a chance to share my voice with hundreds and thousands of people who share the common goal, I love to share my ideas and thoughts, Voices of Our Future has enabled me do this, I enjoy it I love it!
This is my life story; I desired so much to study and get to the University, my dream was silenced at the age of 14 when I was made a bar maid by my brother. He had the potential to take me to school but he chose to make me a bar maid.
After one year of having bad experiences with drunkards I abandoned my job and went back home to dig with hope of getting school fees for the next academic year.
Through the help of my mother I managed to finish 'O' level from where I had stopped - Senior two( from Senior 3 to 4).I was to join high school (Senior 5 and 6) before I could join the University however there was no hope because food could not produce anymore money for my education as my mother insisted. I sat home for one more year but through prayers, GOD connected me with an American couple who paid my school fees from high school to University where I graduated with Bachelors in Information Technology.
Now I pay school fees to youths in my village who have passion for studying but had no opportunity.
With my tireless efforts in supporting youths, I believe I will change MANY lives from Nobody to Somebody, I believe Nobody is a Nobody given the opportunity and sense of direction. Thanks to Voices of Our Future for voicing me!
