Introducing myself and my journal: Director of Global Strategy on Nonviolence

About Me:
Namaste. I am a peace activist promoting women and nonviolence. For the past 12 years, I have developed an initiative for women to UNITE as the PEACEMAKERS and take a POLITICAL VOICE to create WORLD PEACE. The plan is for non-governmental women leaders to issue a CALL to WOMEN, a World-Wide Unity Campaign, designed for women to "Reach into Every Household" to promote a Global Movement of Nonviolence, For the Children (GMofNV).

The plan is ready to be implemented now. All that is needed is one last element -- leadership. All the grassroot movements have started from the bottom up and they are everywhere and women leaders can tie them all together via a GMofNV. I have been very fortunate to have had prominent people support and encourage my work -- author and sociologist Elise Boulding and author, activist, and historian Howard Zinn.

I worked in the hospitality industry as a manager and Maitre D' for 35 years and consider myself a people person. For whatever reason in life, I try to look at the big picture and think as big as possible. I believe that Gandhi and King and all the sages throughout history have attempted to teach us that nonviolence is the answer. Therefore it is logical to find the best representative of nonviolence possible. My research has shown that women represent respect and genuine caring better than any other group. Women will be successful because they have the pride, courage, and desire to create world peace. Women will include men. The movement is for everyone, as the Civil Rights movement in the U.S. was for everyone!

Women can reach out with the olive branch, state that they come in peace, and that they want to help their fellow human beings. Until women unite as the peacemakers, there will be no peace. It will not be easy. There will be risks. The key is to get the movement started. It will then take on a life of its own.

I am a man, a person, 63 years old, who believes society can change from a male-dominated society to a partnership society (cultural transformation theory from the Chalice and the Blade by Riane Eisler) and am dedicated to help bring it to fruition.

Peace and Love,
Andre
