Introducing myself and my journal: Escaping Forced Marriage

About Me:
Based in the U.S., I serve a girls' school in Kenya and am especially interested in empowering girls and women to gain an education rather than being victimized by forced marriage. I also work with a Congolese organization that provides counseling, social reintegration, and network-generating activities for raped women as well as education for their children. I like to think of myself as an enabler.

My Passions:
Enabling women & girls, building support communities, making global connections through technology

My Challenges:
Time! I have a full-time job doing something completely different- photo editing

My Vision for the Future:
Empowering women & girls to be in a safe place, find their voices, gain an education, & live fulfilled lives

My Areas of Expertise:
Text and photo communications - writing & editing
