CELEBRATE WITH ME

Dear friend,
I wish to inform you of my 45th birthday anniversary that will be coming up on the 22nd of February, 2010 and the fact that i want to celebrate it this year in a grand style. The grand style is preventing 100 women from dying as a result of Cervical and breast cancer.
In Nigeria, it is a known fact that cancer is on the increase as a result of the poverty level in the country. According to World health organization,there are an estimated 100,000 new cancer cases in the country each year and observers believe the figure could become as high as 500,000 new cases annually by 2010.
According to the Advanced Medical Research and Training AMRT at the University of Ibadan, Breast and cervical cancer are the most common malignancy in Nigeria. Dr Adebanwo, the Director of the institute noted that In the case control study of the institute, there were 250 cases of breast cancer seen in their oncogy clinic. Expert also said that cervical cancer is the commonest genital cancer among women, it account for 30 percent of all cancer related death. head of department of Jos University Teaching Hospital also said that there is hope for victims of breast and cervical cancer if detected early and that is why the screening is very important.
The women Medical Association in Osun State Nigeria were concerned about this situation and they started a clinic in Ile-Ife every Tuesday which they called \"Well Woman Clinic.\" I was also opportuned to be introduced to the clinic in 2006 and when i heard that it is important to do the screening for the cervical cancer at least once in a year and to examine my breast at least once in a month, i have been making it a point of duty to do so. My concern now came last year when it was like the clinic wanted to die due to lack of equipment and this made the screening test price rise to at least $10. The situation is still the same this year women are no more coming because they could not afford to pay for the screening test.
This is the reason why i decided to celebrate my birthday this year helping at least 100 down troden WOMEN to do their SCREENING free. I can only realize this by your help.
