Introducing myself and my journal: High Hopes Haiti

About Me:
I am an experienced sales and marketing professional in North Carolina USA with a long-time dream of making a difference to at-risk women through language, computer skills and meaningful vocational opportunities. In my own life, these tools has been instrumental in helping me make a professional mark, and they have ensured that I have the freedom to make better decisions for myself and in family and community relationships. On travels to rural settings in China, Haiti, and other countries, I have seen that one of the barriers to empowerment for many women is lack of the tools that have been so useful in my life and that of other women with meaningful jobs and careers. Starting with a project I have been leading in rural, northern Haiti, I have been working to provide digital access to young women in rural, northern Haiti, with the intention of sharing our experiences and knowledge with similarly inspired projects in other countries. I do this as a volunteer project catalyst with Mothering Across Continents, a non-profit committed to being a platform through which women like me can lead meaningful projects to change the lives of at-risk women and children around the world.
