Introducing myself and my journal: A small tree

About Me:
I am a mother of two and married almost 20 years. I love life. I like to laugh. I love the world, but have seen little of it. I have seen poverty as an exchange student as a teenager, but so thankful to never have lived in poverty. I like being friends with joyful people and habitually only say good day, never good bye(unless I slip up). My best friend and I share the joys and emotions of being married women and mothers. My daughter teases me that she thinks I am on 'a path to enlightenment'. She sees things I don't, so I hope she is right. My generations are far apart, my parents are dead, my family is more friends than blood relations. I have a good history--two of my father's aunts were missionaries of the Srs of St Joseph. I am so proud to have their teaching and blood in my veins. I am so nondescript and average by comparison, but my younger Great Aunt told me it was God's will I fall in love and start a family, so my strength is in my being just another woman, with a voice. That's it.
