At Peace with One God in Different Dimensions

In the beginning God made the universe. All faiths, religious beliefs, traditions and doctrines lead back to this particular origin. But it seems the agreement ends right where it begins. From creation, the journey of each faith lost track of each other, that oftentimes, there have been more points to argue about than to reconcile with. The chances and places where these faiths are supposed to harmonize more often than not become the venues of conflict, all the more aggravating each other’s biases.

Needless to say, believers in the One and Only God, the Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient One, find themselves building walls and burning bridges, tangling themselves in the webs of their own weaving.

It would seem that only those who propagate the idea of evolution are saved from the perils of the untruths and imperfections, borne out of arrogance, pride and hypocrisy, of the believer who prefers to outsmart than to understand the other.

Even then, the theory of evolution has long been disproved by new scientific discoveries and logic. That modern research on fossils proving creatures living centuries past were gargantuan in sizes is beyond question. And that the process of metamorphosis, when a living thing goes through three stages in all-too-different forms – from an egg to a worm to a butterfly, all the more disprove the progressive transformation in the theory of evolution.

The advent of too many “wise men” through all stages in time should have constantly awakened us believers into a oneness that a Superior Being is the One and Only Source that is inalienable to each and all of us, but humanity chooses to question furthermore. Great and new ideas meant to unite us have caused division and disenchantment. Sad, very sad, for the damage to humanity is dark and devastating. For the past 5,600 years, 14,800 wars are recorded throughout the globe. 99% of these wars point to religions and faiths as the source, direct and indirect. Here we are with one origin and one destiny, but we choose to fight each other along the way. And unless we learn to accept God in our brothers and sisters as pilgrims in the journey towards our Creator, in and among humanity, regardless of color or creed, we will never be one with God and at peace with Him. For to be at peace with our Creator, we must be at peace with the rest of creation.

This is the challenge we must face with urgency and ultimacy. For in the end, it is our faith in one another that translates our faith in the One and Only God. Only then, will peace prevail on Earth. Only then, will the One and Only Creator, the God of all – believers, non-believers and disbelievers, bless us with the peace we are seeking, dreaming, struggling, and even dying and killing for.

Here’s to a peaceful journey within and among each other, a venue for the grace to transcend beyond what we live for and believe in.
