Special Announcement About Frontline Journals

Dearest Correspondents,

You've done it again! I am receiving message after message from midwives, mentors, community members, and team members - all who are so humbled and inspired by your powerful and courageous stories that are pouring forth from Voices Rising. Congratulations to those of you who submitted your second assignment! As Elsie says, wahoo! And, if you haven't submitted yours yet, don't give up! We are cheering you on from the side.

As you know from some of the posts to the classroom, I extended quite a few deadlines until this Sunday. However, it is important to clarify that only those articles that were submitted on-time or from those correspondents who are late for extraordinary circumstances are eligible to be selected as one of the three journals published by World Pulse.

But, I want to stress the importance of completing all four assignments. Most importantly, the world wants to hear your voice and we want to help unleash it! Additionally, you must complete all assignments to receive a certificate at the end of the program. And finally, the personal satisfaction and benefit you will gain from fully participating is immeasurable.

For those who posted a final or strong draft before the deadline, if you so choose, you may continue to edit your journal until this Sunday, August 9th, which is when all assignments must be in to be counted. To do so, please edit your latest version in your journal since we are already highlighting them on the PulseWire homepage and sharing them on our social networking profiles on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Don't forget to reach out to your midwives, mentors, colleagues, me, Cristi, or anyone (!) if you want input. Corine and the editorial team will be selecting the three journals at the top of next week.

And lastly, to give everyone a short break, I am holding off on posting month three to the site until next Tuesday! August is going to be a hot one! And, Scott will be back!
