Introducing myself and my journal: Water is life

About Me:
I am 22 year old and live in a village of Madhya Pradesh state in India. In my village girl are not educated beyond elementary level and married early. Also, nobody likes to have a girl child here.
I am lucky to complete 12th grade, but I had to struggle so much as the school was several miles away and we have no motor roads.I walked everyday for many hours.
Now, I work as a field worker in a watershed project. In our area there is big water crisis. For us, to get even one bucket of water, one has to walk for miles. This project is trying to solve that problem through community participation.

I recently received training in citizen journalism from Stella Paul. I learnt how to shoot a video and send live reports from field using my mobile phone. It has boasted my confidence a lot. I hope to learn more in future.
