Destined for Greatness

When I started writing on VOF, I felt an urge to inspire at least one person, giving them hope and dreams for wanting a better future for themselves. Looking at where I have been to where I am now, I would not have made it if someone else did not take the time to rescue and lead me on a better road to self-discovery. I knew for a while now that I wanted my life to mean something but it wasn’t until VOF was introduced to me. One day, I was going about my day like I always do, challenging others to think about things that they would not normally think of, like what do you want I life… and so forth is when I knew that I was destined for something bigger than myself. I saw a problem in this world, place around me, and where I grew up. Women were not given a voice to say what they thought; everything had to go through the males of certain institutions. The inequality conditions in working environments. Having witness this in my work place, I noticed that gender meant power. If you were women, you had little say in how things were to operate. I saw the cries of children left behind because of their mothers being physically abused to the point of death. I witness women sold in to prostitution and it all accumulated to feeling the need to want to be involved in educating woman about their importance to society and bringing awareness to those who may lack confidence in themselves. I may not know where to begin going about what irks my heart but I have the willingness to learn and further educate myself into finding more, researching more ways to making an impact in this world and my generation.
When I started VOF and reading other people’s stories; I began to witness a great commonality that us as women share all over the world. I loved being a part of a community that felt and wanted to see change the same way that I did. I believe strongly that change starts with you before you can change the world, I have a whole life to share that may touch a person’s heart to want more for themselves and want to become stronger independent women, with their own identities and no longer hiding behind the shadows of cultures, traditions and society. I do not believe that women should dominate the world because that will also become a problem, however, there should be fairness, equality and respect in the way that we are treated and given the same rights in the work places as men do without being discriminated for being female. I love VOF because women are given the freedom to choose to be who they want to be and get to inspire someone else in the process, each an everyone woman and child is important in shaping what this world should look like, and I would like to become part of such great change and movement.
I would like to become one of the correspondents because I am a purpose driven person who wants to assists and aid women around the world, who is not afraid to stand up for what I believe in and also have the willingness to learn from others. I have always wanted to be part of a “bring sex trafficking to an end” revolution, and I believe that being part of Voices for our Future can bring me one step closer to my mission in life. I would like one day to be part of something that touched someone from another world but also been through what I have been through. There is so much I am capable of and with more help I believe that I can be the greatest candidate for any position that fights for the beliefs that I strongly believe in.
