A Woman's Voice ... Necessary

A Woman's voice soothes
A Woman's voice nurtures
A Woman's voice convicts
A Woman's voice excites
A Woman's voice cuts
A Woman's voice heals
A Woman's voice hurts
A Woman's voice changes
A Woman's voice screams
A Woman's voice whispers
A Woman's voice seduces

A WOMAN'S VOICE ... NECESSARY

The first woman to become a physician in the US, Elizabeth Blackwell, expressed the intention of Web 2.0 when she said, “For what is done or learned by one class of women becomes, by virtue of their common womanhood, the property of all women\". Web 2.0 affords us the true opportunity to make our knowledge, experiences, hurts, struggles, victories, lessons at the disposal of all women. It eliminates space and time and allows us to experience affirmation and acknowledgement.
The sharing of one woman's tragedy on one side of the planet can result in a lesson learned and victory won for a woman on the other side of the planet.
One community's needs being expressed can result in action by another woman with the knowledge and resources to foster change.
Spiritual and emotional scars can be healed when women tell their stories and become free from guilt and shame.
I believe that we are all empowered by one another's stories. We become acquainted with the universal woman and her virtues and realize that we are the same at the core of our being.
I would expect to receive from Web 2.0 the same thing that I am willing to give:

Love and Acceptance
A Voice and an Ear
To stir a woman to Action and quietly assist her in being Still
Camaraderie and Collective Work
Acknowledgement and Correction
Engagement and Rebirth

Peace,
Mariposa
