About Me:
Rose a woman with passion for community work and specifically grassroot women and girls, born and brought up in a rural set up,and experienced all the challenges of what grassroot women and girls go through, I watched my mother and other women being harassed, neglected despised and beaten.I walked with mother 5 KM with a pot of water on my head, 25 years ago,and a i made a promise that when i grow up i want to do something for the grassroot women and girls to bring back their rejuvenation and hope,i want to bring back their faded smiles.. i want grassroot women to stand up in their respective communities as leaders, community mobilizers, managers and implementers of community initiatives.under the woman -girl mentor-ship program, young girls in schools and colleges are progressively introduced into leadership.Women in Water and Natural Resources Conservation in Partnership with Global Women Water Initiative, we have trained grassroot women in Kenya,Uganda, and Tanzania as WASH champions, for the purposes of sustainability we have trained 50 women as masons. The women can now access contracts to construct, rain water harvesting tanks,VIP LATRINES and Biosand filters hence quality water and sanitation services. The girls can also access re-usable sanitary towels which are affordable, hence better academic performance.Join me as we stand out as the VOICE of the VOICELESS women in the world.
