RUSafe App: an App that Can Save Lives
I was so excited when introduced to WORLD PULSE learning of such a powerful online community where tens of thousands of like-minded people are committed to influence, facilitate and create true social change that positively impacts women around the globe. Needless to say, I immediately became an active member of World Pulse wanting to assist and learn about the countless initiatives of the World Pulse membership.
It has been long recommended that in order for the fight against Intimate Partner Violence to be effective, prevention efforts need to address individuals, families, communities and cultures over a long period of time. No one group has the capacity to do this, but through collaboration much more becomes possible. This same philosophy must be embraced in order to bring like-minded individuals and organizations with shared Missions together to successfully promote theRUSafe App.
Please take a few minutes to learn more about theRUSafe Appby reading below. I ask the members of World Pulse to be the voice of the women who are in need of help by speaking out and passing this message along to those in your email directory as well as those connected to you via social media. In the short time since the launch of theRUSafe App, thousands of women have utilized the App to find safety for themselves and often their children as well. I can’t thank you enough!
Help fight Intimate Partner Violence; downloading theRUSafe Appcan be an extremely powerful tool in the fight against Intimate Partner Violence. Every time it is downloaded one more life can be saved. Intimate Partner Violence is not a singular incident, Intimate Partner Violence is an incomprehensible problem deeply rooted in our culture and the numbers speak for themselves:
3 - The number of women murdered every day by a current or former male partner in the U.S.
20 -The number of people every minute that are victims of Intimate Partner Violence.
1 in 3 -The number of women who have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
7,000,000 -The number of women raped and/or physically assaulted by a current or former intimate partner each year.
10,000,000 -The number of children exposed to domestic violence every year.
In our evolving modern world, most people have a Smartphone. Long gone are the days that women must physically go somewhere to find a resource. The resource now exists in their hand via their cell phone. The fact is that their phone, through theRUSafe Appwith GPS technology, can now connect victims of Intimate Partner Violence directly to the closest women’s shelter with a 24-Hour Hotline. The help that victims need is immediate with over 1,560 Women’s Shelters with 24-Hour Hotlines across the U.S. available through theRUSafe App.

Download theRUSafe App– spread the word to others to download the App and to bring awareness to Intimate Partner Violence and help reduce the many, many, many more unconscionable statistics that speak to the prevalence, incident rates and the severity of Intimate Partner Violence and the devastating impact it has on the victims, their children and our society as a whole.
