Dear 90 Plus

There are 90 of us, I believe; 30 Correspondents, 30 Editorial Mentors and 30 Vision Mentors, and then there's the WP staff . . . so:

To you each and all: it's morning where I am as I type, but night for some of you, so I thought I'd share this wonderful version of the prayer that used to give some of us the mild horrors* as children. (*Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.) YIKES

Here is Reverend Kate Breastrup's version, which I now say before bed:

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray THAT LOVE MY SOUL WILL KEEP
MY BODY REST, MY LOVE EXPAND,
TO EVERY SOUL IN EVERY LAND.

Amen.

Isn't that lovely? Rev. Kate Breastrup is author of the amazing memoir, "Here If You Need Me."

Love,
Sarah
