Introducing myself and my journal: Beautiful Battle Scars

About Me:
I am a mother to a child with special needs constantly attempting to find balance as life changes. My passionate nature has allowed me to pour my feelings out in writing, but I was raised to be a polite girl -- to avoid inconveniencing anyone or making people uncomfortable -- so I'm not terribly confident speaking and smile a lot through any kind of pain, which others find confusing or inappropriate. I'm finally finding my voice but am not entirely sure how or when to use it. In short, I'm a work in progress. I have enough fire in my belly to fuel a small city.

Allowing myself to feel emotions. Speaking my mind.

My Vision for the Future:
Truthfully, looking too far into the future incapacitates me. I have learned to take one day at a time raising a son who will never be completely able to take care of himself.
