Shadow beneath the paramount

The 21st century has given us so many achievements. The world seems smaller due to globalization. We can connect within a minute throughout the earth. All of us are highly focused on enhancing success and the magnitude of the success has created a paramount. But while concentrating on success we have forgotten about the shadow of so many problems within us behind the paramount. Like \"the jungle always looks beautiful from outside but when we move into it, the jungle is full of dangerous wildlife and other species which makes the jungle a frightening place to be\". Similarly the earth seems a beautiful place to live in for everyone but when we deep into it there are so many hurdles and issues that has been practiced since the late century. We have grown from Stone Age till today with many achievements. We have grown to become social beings. Yet we too have so many characteristics yet to be changed which are causing lots of problems for us. One of the problems that we are inheriting from late decades is Women violence which is turning to be a curse from our humankind.
Though, most of the part of the world has overcome with such issues yet there are so many countries whose society is affected with this disease. Mostly in the underdeveloped and developing countries in South Asia. Women are treated as a fleshy body for men to fulfill their desire and a machine to continue their offspring. Women are barred by society at the open environment due to the policies like parent properties right, citizenship issuance right and many more which are never in the favors of women. Some of the religion too creates injustice to women due to their rituals and belief. It seems like women are helpless in all the eco-socio-cultural segments of society. The main reason for such problem may be due to poverty which later leads to lack of education. The problem may seem to be social and facade but its evolution is from the grassroots level of society (poverty, lack of education, religious and cultural belief)

In Nepal and elsewhere, women have taken the lead in all possible fields, yet it’s ironic that the greatest challenge we face today is girls’ access to education. Girls face severe challenges; going to school is one of them. Poverty has rendered thousands of children—and especially girls—physically and mentally too thin and intellectually disabled. It is much easier for impoverished parents to employ their young children to generate income than send them to school. This cycle has reinforced yet more poverty. Marrying daughters off when they are young cuts parents’ financial burden in half and is preferable to bearing the costs of raising a daughter and supplying her dowry.
In rural and suburban parts of Nepal, girls often force to marry young before she is physically and mentally mature. They bear children at a tender age and die which results in high infant as well as mortality rate. If they manage to survive their first pregnancy, these girls are expected to give birth until they are worn out. According to the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, over 34% of new marriages in Nepal involve brides who are under 15 years of age. In some rural Terai districts of Dhanusha, Mahottari and Rupandehi, more than 50% of marriages involve girls under 12.Not only in terai but this tread is also prevailed on other rural region of Nepal. Such tread not only hampers the women but also affect the baby who has not seen the world yet. So who is responsible for the death of that girl who is still on her playing age?
Social biases and discrimination are persistent especially in rural parts of Nepal where boys are preferred as the sole bearers of a family’s lineage and the main earners and girls are taken as burden of the family. The belief about girls; they are others property and will go to others home one day, has discourage the education of girls in the society. From religious myths to everyday practices, everything fosters cultural bias towards daughters. Girls are taught to be obedient, defenseless, and dutiful, while sons are taught to be dominant, strong, and intelligent. Mainstream development plans, legal frameworks, and strategic policies are filled with gender stereotypes. Lack of women’s real and meaningful participation at the decision-making and leadership levels is one of the greatest woes of Nepal. The few women who take their seat at the leadership level are but a sheer REPRESENTATION made ultimately to look like participation.
Reform doesn't come in isolation. Many small changes must come together to elevate the condition of women and girls. Making education compulsory and free up to the high school level would increase the girl child’s enrollment; however, it won’t guarantee her liberation from the discrimination and bias that prevails in society. It is imperative that women researchers, politicians, educationists, lawmakers, and leaders be given a chance to bring change. Incentive's girls’ education as well as providing vocational training to the parents and girls themselves might work wonders. Providing teachers’ training is equally essential, while raising awareness of the importance of educating the girl child would be a sensible move. Similarly the law should announce early marriage as crime and threatened the society.
We worship god daily but we perform a sin every day by involvement in gender inequality and by closing our eyes of wisdom in front of injustice. We cannot get the peace of mind unless we will work against it. A real human would never see injustice prevailed in front of His/her own eye. If we really have humanism in us, than we must unite together and fight for the rising disease of our society that has forced women to be weaker in the society. The notion of equality implies that women aspire to live like men and that is impossible because women and men are physically different form each other similarly each individual has its own identity and strength. So we must believe in equity rather equality. It’s a battle for emancipation that each one of us must fight in solidarity with those who can’t fight for themselves today they are someone else but tomorrow it may be our own sisters so let's make world aware about the unknown curse practiced in our society i.e. gender inequality.
Though, there are so many social agencies in Nepal working against such social issues. The problem seems to be more intensive may be due to lack of public participation, awareness, education, poverty etc. The gender inequality has become a habit for so many people so it will surely take time to attend reform. Some of the organization is working actively to spread the awareness and pull people out of the poverty range for the sake of gender equality by various projects that brings awareness among people and promote them to participate to discard such problems from the society. Such programs improvise women for participation and empowerment by giving responsibility and authority to women in various programs at non-governmental level. So due to such effort the social status of woman is improving day by day in the working area of such agencies. But until government ministry and other In-go's won't work actively against gender inequality the campaign cannot go to the national level. Therefore the government must think about such issues and implement some policies for the betterment of woman status in the society and guide the social agencies to diversify its enrollment in all the issues of the women subsist in the society.

So, I drainage words enrolled with considerate stories about issues of woman violence which is one of the curse of humanity. An article is always effective if it pose something that makes an impact to the reader's mind. So let's fight against such issues which are pulling our society in the site of shadiness. And make world a better place to live for everyone.
