1. How can I access the Voices of Our Future 2016 Virtual Classroom?
In order to see your group membership in World Pulse, click on the "My Pulse" tab at top of the screen. On the left hand side you will see a list of your group memberships. Voices of Our Future 2016 Virtual Classroom should be on this list. You can access the training content by clicking on the link for the Voices of Our Future 2016 Virtual Classroom group. If you are not a member, you can visit the group page and click "Join Group" to join.
2. Where should I post my assignment for the modules?
Please post your assignments, in the Voices of Our Future 2016 Virtual Classroom. Every module has instructions on where to post your assignments and when to share them with your Vision Mentor
3. When are the assignments due?
Every module has a different amount of assignments, and their due dates are listed in the instructions. Each of them will have a different date based on the amount of work required. You are responsible for posting assignments starting 22 February until 25 April. Please refer to the last section of your Welcome Manual for the detailed schedule.
4. What should I title my assignment?
During the course of the training, you will be completing several writing assigments. Each writing assignment has an assigned title in each module. Please use these titles so that it is clear that you have completed the assignment.
5. What if English isn't my first language?
Although at this time our training materials are in English, you can use the Google Translate tool, which is located at the top right corner of the webpage, to translate the materials into your preferred language. Click on the "Translate Page" tab to find your language. Please note that all assignments should be posted in English and all online conversations take place in English.
6. How will I know how many words my article is?
Word Count Tool is a simple and quick online tool to find your word count. Simply copy and paste your article in the form and click on the Submit button. Your word count will appear under the form. If you are using Microsoft Word, the word count an be found in the left side of the bottom bar.
7. Who will be reading my assignments?
All the material posted in this group is public. Anybody with internet access will be able to read your assignments, along with your fellow Leaders, World Pulse staff and Vision Mentors. Additionally, you are encouraged to read posts written by other members of the training and to comment.
8. When should I connect for a call with the World Pulse team?
You need to attend one online call once a week. There are two options for you to choose from. Starting on 22 February until 25 April we will be holding an online call on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. PST and on Fridays at 8:00 a.m. During our second week our schedule will be different, we will be contacting you via email with all of this updates. You can also go back to your Welcome Manual to review the dates.
9. Can I edit my post after I have published it?
Yes, you can edit your post after you have published it. To edit a post, click on the title of your post to open it. On the left hand side, you will see a button that says "edit." Clicking this button will allow you to make any changes to your post that are needed. Once you are done, click "save" at the bottom of the screen to make these changes.
10. How can I see who else is part of the training and where they are from?
Clicking on the "more members" link on the right hand side of the screen, under the Community Champions section will bring up a list of everyone who is part of the Voices of Our Future 2016 Virtual Classroom. You can connect with others in the training by sending friendship requests or messages. We encourage you to read and comment on assignments posted by other trainees to learn more about the other training participants and to start building a global network of support!
11. When should I contact my Vision Mentor?
You should be talking to your Vision Mentor once a week. It is your responsibility to coordinate with your Vision Mentor about your communication schedule, and how and when you will send them your assignments for review, if you want to receive any feedback.
12. I need more help with my multimedia assignments.

13. I am confused about how to navigate the training, and what the different parts of the training are.
The training is composed of seven modules that include training content and assignments. The information below will help you navigate the trainings, and ensure that you complete the training during the assigned timeline.
Modules: Each module contains content and assignments for one topic of the training. The modules will help you access the training materials and ensure that you are able to meet the training goals and learning objectives.
Learning Outcomes: Learning outcomes are goals for each section of the training. By reading the content and completing the assignments, you will achieve the learning outcomes for each section.
Assignments: Assignments are tasks at the end of each section that put the training materials into practice. Each modules contains due dates for the assignments, or you can find all due dates in your Welcome Manual.
Thinking Exercises: Thinking exercises are a chance for you to engage with the material more deeply. Thinking exercises do not have to be written out, but are questions to consider to help improve your understanding and apply the training content to your own life. We will be discussing thinking exercises during our weekly training calls.
Take 10 Activities: Take 10 activities are safety, security, and self-care exercises for you to do each week. These activities are built in to ensure that your are taking care of yourself throughout the training. Please spend about ten minutes per week completing these exercises.
