Displaced

Story Awards banner image

The number of people displaced by conflict and persecution worldwide is at an all time high. In this time of unprecedented upheaval, World Pulse is shining a spotlight on the lives affected. Share your story to contribute to a more peaceful and welcoming world.

We invite stories about place and displacement from refugees, migrants, asylees, AND from everyone with a story to tell about this important global challenge.

If you or your community has faced displacement, what are the causes? What are your dreams for the future? You might write about the meaning of home, what you’ve brought with you, what you’ve built anew, or what you’ve left behind.

If you haven’t faced displacement directly, do you have a story of connection between migrant and host communities? Are there actions you could take in your community that would positively impact the lives of those displaced? Do you have a story that sheds light on our interconnected world or the meaning of home?

Tell us your story for a chance to be published!

Deadline Extended: THIS CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS CLOSES ON 5 August AT 11:59 PST.

Read our Guidelines to learn more about what we look for when selecting stories for publication.
