Reminder: Interviews Due this Sunday!

Dearest Correspondents,

As always, warm greetings! Can you believe that we are coming to the end of the first month of Voices of Our Future? Don't forget that your interviews are due this Sunday. If you are experiencing challenges to completing the assignment on time - for any reason - please email me as soon as possible.

Announcements

Identifying Your Assignments: You may have noticed that I have added a brief paragraph about Voices of Our Future at the end of the interviews already posted. If I missed your interview or you have not posted the final draft in your journal, please copy and paste the following at the end of your first assignment:

This article is part of a writing assignment for Voices of Our Future, which is providing rigorous web 2.0 and new media training for 31 emerging women leaders. We are speaking out for social change from some of the most forgotten corners of the world. Meet Us.

It will appear like this:

This article is part of a writing assignment for Voices of Our Future, which is providing rigorous web 2.0 and new media training for 31 emerging women leaders. We are speaking out for social change from some of the most unheard from corners of the world. Meet Us.

See Joanne's interview for an example.

Editorial Midwives: Scott, Cristi, and I have recruited "Editorial Midwives" to offer nurturing support and practical advice to you about your assignments. These volunteers are professional writers, journalists, bloggers, and editors. They are eager to connect with you. We'll introduce them over the coming weeks, but we wanted you to let you know now. It might be surprising if you start getting focused editorial feedback. You can definitely expect more feedback and support for your next assignment!

Welcome Packages: I read Lin's great story about reading her World Pulse magazine on the train. If you have not received your package yet, it's on its way! All 31 have been mailed.
