Jennifer the Fire-Starter and a Bright Future!
To all of the visionary Voices of Our Future –
A big hello from the road as I travel the United States on a speaking tour – telling the world about YOU and the rising of your world-changing voices. Everywhere I go the response is overwhelming – we are finding interest and excitement from businesses, media, entrepreneurs, and other leaders, women and men, all eager to hear your messages. I am warming the ground for those of you who will come to the United States next year as the VOF awardees to speak for yourselves! And drawing new readers to our site. Wherever I go, I always share how much your voices, encouragement, and support have strengthened MY OWN voice – you have empowered me to lift this dream ever higher alongside you to truly rock the earth and transform the world for women. Thank you.
As Jennifer has said, VOF is not over, it is only the beginning of something new. We will grow together ever higher as we build new outlets for your voices, grow our community and begin to develop our exciting Global Correspondents Network. VOF will continue as well, and eventually become an annual program.
The congratulations and celebrations must ring across the mountains for Jennifer and her team. She has taken a vision and made it come alive. Jennifer is a fire-starter, kick-starting things and ever creating. That is why we at World Pulse are so thrilled and excited for her as she takes her next leap into new and exciting waters in KENYA!. Although we will miss her, she has built a legacy that will live on in all of us through World Pulse with Voices of Our Future and more. Now, she will have the chance to be with her family with the Press Institute and bring to life new opportunities for women to find their voices. She will have the chance to live out another of her dreams and build something from the ground up, which she loves. I get shivers of excitement imagining the model that will be created there for all of womankind. Congratulations Jennifer!!! What a legacy you have built, and are building for your son and all of our children.
Meanwhile, we are honored to work with Scott an extraordinary man, who we trust absolutely - who works out of love and compassion - who will help us take our next steps and prepare for our next journey together. Even though there will be no one quite like our firey mother hen Jennifer -- there will another amazing woman who will come on board next year to lead the program.
As we pour over your Feature stories they leave us breathless ---- each of you should be proud, proud, proud. It will be agonizing to select the final three, but each and every one of you deserves that award.
There is much being developed at World Pulse for all of us. We have heard your desire to come together in person one day – and we will strive to make that happen in the years to come. We are also planning an international delegation and summit in KENYA, hopefully in late 2010, so we can dance with our African sisters and embrace in person, gathering more fuel to collaborate ever more strongly. The invitation will be open to all to join us there.
We see the future, moving together with our sisters across the globe, sharing our dreams, uplifting each other, communicating in a heartbeat – transforming the world. We will continue to dance alongside our partners of the Press Institute, the Empowerment Institute, and the OpEd project, and many more to raise our collective song to the halls of power.
Congratulations to Jennifer and her team – to YOU– and our Bright Future, together.
Love,
Jensine

Jennifer,and Jensine...
As i read Jensine's post,i am reminded of how the journey of a thousand miles begins-with one step.I have seen how empowering a journey can be.VOF has been a great part of this journey. Now i will never again try to estimate the power of voices shared.I have seen how empowering it can be,to share our own stories, and experiences, those of our local villages, communities and the world.
We should all of us meet in person,in the next phase of our journey.I will never forget the first time i met Jennifer in Mexico City, with Jonah and Shawn. It was a real joy,to talk and work together.Vancouver was another big experience.
My first meeting with you,Jensine was my greatest joy...in Cape Town, then Vancouver BC.
My God! I feel like a book is reeling out.Yes,meeting Corine and Elsie,Anne-Christine d'Adesky and Stella,Consolata Waithaka and hmmmm...and hundreds of other women in Cape Town and Mexico City and Nairobi has been a turning point in my life.I always seem to walk in empty handed and leave with loads.
Now this meeting has all the power.Jennifer i will miss you among the team, but somehow you are getting closer...karibu!
Let us continue to use this power of cinnections across the globe! Mujeres adelante!
Love you all,
Leah.
Thank you so much Worldpulse team!
Dear Jensine,
Namaskar,
thank you so much for for providing us a wonderful opportunity to speak out and a strong, powerful and global network.
I hope after this program also, we will all be in touch and sharing our story. I know these days I am very busy with my studies and whenever I am free, I will be browsing the world pulse and submit my post. I wonder if we can continue this program again.
Thank you so much for world pulse family.
Looking forward to read your post.
